Introduction to Project Spectrum for Industry
Project Spectrum is a cybersecurity initiative supported by the Department of War’s Department of Industrial Base Growth, created to strengthen cybersecurity across the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). Its mission is to help small and medium-sized businesses, manufacturers, and universities build cybersecurity readiness, resilience, and compliance as they work with the Department of Defense.
The program offers a comprehensive suite of tools, training, and resources designed to help businesses understand and act on federal cybersecurity requirements, including the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) and NIST 800-171. Through the platform, businesses can access training and tools to increase awareness of cyber threats, protect Federal Contract Information (FCI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and understand CMMC requirements.
