During his time in the field, Matt learned two things: think ahead and don’t drop the ball. Matt left the construction industry in 2013 to pursue his life’s passion: studying, reading, writing, and the English language. Having received his BA and MA in English, Matt joined the FDOT’s Construction Management Development Program as an instructor. In that capacity, he used a combination of his skills as a project estimator and communicator to train thousands of small business owners across five states. Matt stopped instructing the CMDP in 2020 and began using his knowledge to help small/disadvantaged businesses on a broader scale.\nMatt has one firm belief he always sticks to: to share his knowledge with others and help their businesses grow to make the world a better place for everyone.
