SUMMARY:Defense Production Act (DPA) Title III
DESCRIPTION:Join the APEX Accelerator Centers of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas, as they host Ian Patterson from Schoonover & Moriarty as he presents an overview of the Defense Production Act on Thursday, Aug. 10, 2023 @ 2 p.m. (CDT). Ian will cover the provisions of Title I (Priorities and Allocations), Title III (Expansion of Productive Capacity and Supply), and Title VII (General Provisions).\nDid you know that Title III of the Defense Production Act (DPA) provides various financial measures, such as loans, loan guarantees, purchases, and purchase commitments, to improve, expand, and maintain domestic production capabilities needed to support national defense and homeland security procurement requirements. Title III also authorizes Federal Government procurement and installation of equipment in plants, factories, and other industrial facilities owned by the Government or private persons. A typical Title III project is focused on increasing production capacity and reducing production costs for new, state-of-the-art technologies needed for military and homeland security purposes.\nIt is true that the Department of Defense (DoD) is the only federal agency with an active Title III Program, but Executive Order 13603 delegates the authority to other departments and agencies to partner with the DOD in sponsoring individual Title III projects for the national defense.\nIf you are interested in this subject, check out the details below and register today!\nDEFENSE PRODUCTION ACT (DPA) TITLE III  (webinar)\nDate: Thursday, August 10, 2023\nTime: 2:00 p.m. (CDT)\nSpeaker: Ian Patterson, Schoonover + Moriarty LLC\nCost: Free\nREGISTER BY CLICKING HERE ( https://texastech.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_mqE1pGCtQSabJ9pp2vC76g#/registration )\nIan is an experienced federal contracts attorney and enthusiastic advocate for his clients.
